The purpose of this qualification is for learner to develop or upskill their knowledge of stroke care. The qualification works in alignment with the projected outcomes of the National Stroke Strategy for England.

It aims to develop the knowledge of different types of strokes, the signs and symptoms of a stroke, their effects and management of risk factors, as well the importance of emergency response to a stroke.

This qualification is suited for those looking to pursue or develop a career in the health care sector. It can also support progression into higher level learning in the health and social care industry.

Evidence produced for the qualification will be internally assessed by your assigned course tutor.

This course can be delivered using a blended learning approach. This will give you flexibility to direct your own online learning. You will be assigned a tutor to provide support and guidance including face to face if desired. As well as having access to resources and collaboration tools to assist your learning.
