To achieve this qualification students will be required to complete a range of units that cover both knowledge and skills.

The purpose of this qualification is to provide students with the knowledge and understanding of childcare and education as well as parenting and babysitting.

Completing this qualification will help students to make an informed choice for their next steps in working with children. Students will have the opportunity to progress to a range of level 2 qualifications relating to Early years and Education. The qualification aims to introduce students to childcare and education, whilst learning across a broad range of subjects. There will be an opportunity to learn about a variety of topics which may include safeguarding, child development, supporting care routines and health and safety.
